About the Product
Designed for the switchgear panels of a 36 kV (max.) power system, this single-pole indoor-use voltage transformer (potential transformer) is cast in Araldite® epoxy resin and covered with an aluminum box. The grounded aluminum box for shielding reduces the necessary distance between the voltage transformer and the panels (or other equipment). This epoxy-cast voltage transformer is characterized by excellent moisture resistance, superior electrical performance, and great reliability.

Voltage transformers from this series are indoor medium-voltage single-phase epoxy-resin-cast potential transformers suitable for 12kV, 24kV, and 36kV power systems. They are used in conjunction with measuring instruments for system monitoring and analysis or in combination with protective relays. Specific models can be equipped with a combination fuse assembly on the primary side. This voltage transformer is a single-phase, epoxy-resin-cast medium-voltage potential transformer designed to also function as an operation power source*, specifically paired with 24kV 4-Way Switchgear. It features a high-voltage elbow-type connector on the primary side and includes an internal high-voltage power fuse for protection. The exterior of the voltage transformer is coated with a conductive metal mixture for shielding, and waterproof treatment can be requested for the secondary side. The voltage transformer has a rated burden and accuracy of 600 VA / 3.0 CL.* Operation power source: In this application, the voltage transformer can also be referred to as a "control power transformer" (CPT), "control transformer" (CTR), "industrial control transformer," or a "machine tool transformer."
